Friday, April 24, 2009 marks the tenth anniversary of the Take Back the Night March and Rally sponsored by ISU, which was brought to Pocatello in 2000 by Kim Talbot, Coordinator of Project Hope Advocacy Program and Assistant Director of Advocacy for the Anderson Gender Resource Center.
A celebration was held for the newly named student employee of the year on Friday, April 17, at noon in the library. This year's winner was Emily Phelps, who has worked at the reference desk at the Eli M. Oboler Library for the last five years. There were several people in attendance, including library employees who have worked with Phelps since the beginning, Associate Dean of Students James Yizar and last year's winner Stuart Summers.
Probably the first thing you acknowledge when you walk into Holt Arena is the smell. Before you can even see the arena, covered in dirt and housing multiple livestock, you smell that glorious smell that every cowboy loves. To any other person that has never been on a farm or in a barn, it might smell like animal waste.

Danson is a dance company that gives ISU students choreography and performance opportunities. Every semester auditions are held, in which student choreographers choose other students to be in their pieces. After a semester of practices and meetings, all of the hard work is culminated into a performance for the public.
Steve Martin is often considered to be one of the great comedic minds of his generation. The man who was once born a poor black child started out his career making guest appearances on shows like Saturday Night Live and Johnny Carson. He then went on to star in some of the more classic films and has achieved the holy grail for stand-up comedians by hosting the Oscars (rather successfully I might add).
