The German Club won its second consecutive College Bowl competition last week, competing against three other teams of ISU students. The ASISU Content Area Tutoring group came in second, Ahead of members from TRIO services, and a team from The Bengal. Each German Club member received a small trophy for the first place win, and ASISU competitors received College Bowl hats for their second place.
Native American issues and culture will be promoted through several events at ISU this week. According to Arnold Williams, ISU Pow Wow organizer, the Pocatello Mayor Roger Chase designates the week of March 31- April 6 as Native American Awareness Week. On the ISU campus, the week will offer students and members of the community an opportunity to experience the Native American culture.
The ISU men's and women's golf teams are pointing toward big home meets this month in advance of the Big Sky Championships. The women will be the host team for the Bengal Spring Invitational meet on April 15-16 at Juniper Hills Country Club in Pocatello, while the men will be in the Von Elm Intercollegiate meet the same days at Blackfoot Golf Club.
